Lily: Lucy, Christmas is nearing and I made a checklist consisting everything we need to do while cleaning the entire house.
Lucy: What a coincidence! A while back, even I was contemplating to start writing one.
Lily: No that’s not needed now. It’s already with me.
Lucy: So, what comes under my responsibility?
Lily: Half tasks managed by you and the rest will be my responsibility.
Lucy: That sounds fair enough.
Lily: You clean all the dishes, wash the clothes, do the dusting, sweep and mop all the rooms, clean the kitchen area and finally clean the toilet. That’s it.
Lucy: Oh My God, doesn’t that cover almost everything? I mean what tasks are left for you? That’s not fair.
Lily: You got it all wrong. I have tried distributing the chores evenly. Rather I took more, I must say.
Lucy: Like what? Could you please name them?
Lily: I am tasked with ironing and folding the washed clothes. Arranging them in the closet. Moving unnecessary stuff into the store room, cleaning the fridge, changing all the bed sheets and pillow covers, changing the sofa and cushion covers, cleaning and arranging the dining and center table and covering them with nice clean table cloth, putting all the garbage in the garbage bag and throwing in the cleanup van, washing the dustbin. Does this make sense?
Lucy: Okay okay, don’t get upset. I simply wanted to play it fair. Now that I see it through, I will help you in your tasks too.(smiles)

Lily: Thank you my dear little sister.
Lucy: Come on then let’s begin. Where do we start from?
Lily: Sure, you take the kitchen while I start with the bedroom.

After the jobs are executed by the siblings

Lucy: Wow Lily, the house is looking so elegant. Makes me wonder if this is really our house or a five star hotel?
Lily: It’s our house sweetie, look how neatly we have cleaned it. Mom will be surprised to find the house so clean.
Lucy: Very true. To tell you the truth, I am feeling rejuvenating in this ambience. I think we should always keep our house neat and clean.
Lily: You are absolutely correct Lucy. Cleanliness generates positive vibes.
Lucy: No doubt about it. And the credit goes to you.
Lily: Now you are flattering me.
Lucy: No way! Wasn’t it your initiative?
Lily: Yes, it was but without your agreement and involvement all this would have been just on the check list.
Lucy/Lily: So, we both deserve the appreciation. Ha haha.
