A Child’s Wish for Peace

Peace is a place I love to be
Where worries disappear from me
It’s where I run, where I can play
And all my fears just fade away

It’s where the sky is always blue
And everything is bright and new
The birds sing and the flowers grow
And there’s a gentle breeze that blows

Peace is a feeling in my heart
It’s where I feel safe and apart
From all the noise, from all the strife
And know that everything’s alright

I wish for peace for all the world
For all the boys and girls unfurled
So everyone can laugh and play
And all our fears will go away

So let’s spread peace wherever we go
And make the world a peaceful show
And when we do, we’ll see it grow
Believe me, everyone will love it so.

A Mother’s Concern for Peace

In a world of chaos, a mother’s heart weeps,
Worried for her children, in peace they sleep.
With bombs exploding and guns blazing high,
She fears for their safety, as she watches them die.

She prays for a world, where they can play and roam,
Where they can laugh and dance, far from harm’s home.
A world where they can learn, love and grow,
Where they are free from fear, and sorrows don’t show.
